It's hard to believe it is already almost time to say "Welcome back!" We pray that everyone has had an enjoyable summer. As promised, we have sent out packets to your homes to inform you of all of the upcoming events that will be taking place here at Excel. Enclosed in this packet you will find a family handbook, a tentative school calendar as well as a supply list for each student in your household. These supply list are also found on a link on the left side of your screen. If your family receives either the McKay Scholarship or Step Up For Students, you will also find a letter from Mrs. Stephanie with details concerning the scholarship programs this year. There have been a few changes made to the handbook this year, so we invite you to take a close look at the policies and procedures of Excel. We ask that you take special note of the Attendance, Extended Care and Discipline Policies.
This year we have two opportunities for you to feel a part of our family even before the first day of school! On Friday, August 15th, there will be a teacher "Meet & Greet" from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Feel free to drop by any time during those hours to meet your child's teacher, drop off school supplies. pay any fees owed and ask any last minute questions you may have. On Saturday, August 16th we will be having our Excel Family Picnic & Orientation here on the property from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm. There will be bounce houses, minute to win it games with teachers, giveaways, a Pulled Pork lunch, and games on the field. The best part is the opportunity to spend time with people who truly care about your children. Orientation will begin promptly at 11:30 with the picnic and fun to follow.
The first day of our school year will be on Monday, August 18th. Remember that if you have any questions or need any information, give us a call here at the school or email us and we will help you in any way that we can. We are excited about this upcoming year. We believe that God has amazing things in store for Excel and we are so happy that you have chosen to be a part of what He is doing.
Thank you for partnering with us to serve the King and His kids!
