Mrs. Pope's First Grade Class

Excel is going to have an awesome summer program, be sure to spread the word to your friends, family, and co-workers. Make sure to sign up for it as soon as you can. The kids are going to have a blast! Please remember to practice/memorize those addition/subtraction facts. Too many in our class are still too dependent on their fingers--they all need to have these memorized NOW--THANKS! This will improve their speed and accuracy. Also, work on recognizing odd/even numbers and read as much as possible to your first grader and them to you. Also make sure your first grader is practicing counting money as requested in the letter sent home last week!
