A variety of curriculum is used to help meet the individual needs of the student.  This advanced course of study offers an intensive phonics approach to reading.  A traditional program of math instruction and a language arts program that prepares students to write and speak effectively.  The Middle School uses a variety of curriculum including ABEKA, Bob Jones and FCAT readiness materials.  Preschool also incorporates the Wee Learning curriculum.

Excel is a non-public school which is registered with the Florida Department of Education.  Excel is a member of the Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS) on the state level and a member of the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS).

Excel is a ministry of Abundant Life Church of God.  The school's purpose is to provide students with knowledge of God, to instill a love and respect for God's word, to introduce students to the plan of salvation and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and to teach basic Christian principles for daily living.  Classroom Bible class, weekly chapel services, and regular chapel instruction are an important part of the student's learning experience.

Excel admits students of any race, color, nation and ethnic origin to all the rights, principles, programs, and activities made available to students at the school.  Acceptance at Excel is determined in the completion of the admission application, a personal interview with the school's principal, evaluation of the student's academic and behavioral record, and payment of the appropriate fees.

Middle School U.S. History Trip to Washington D.C., Williamsburg, and Philadelphia.

Extended care is available Monday thru Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m.  Services are also available during student school holidays.

A nutritionally balanced lunch program is available and is prepared daily by our in-house culinary specialist.  Also, morning juice and snack is provided for pre-school classes, as well as afternoon juice and snack for all students in extended care.

Uniforms are mandatory at Excel.

Parents are encouraged to become involved as much as possible in the education process of their children.  An active Parent-Teacher fellowship (PTF) meets throughout the school year to plan special school projects and participate in fund-raising activities for the school.

The progress of all students is evaluated on a nine week grading period in both social and academic development.  Student in grades K5-8th are given a standard achievement test, S.A.T., in the spring of each school year as an additional assessment of academic progress.

Excel feels it is beneficial and necessary for discipline to be a part of the classroom setting.  A clearly defined behavioral management system is adhered to in each classroom.  Prayer and Godly counsel are an integral part of our discipline procedure.  Student responsibilities and behavior guidelines are outlined in the student handbook.
